The City of Polson declares water emergency

Polson, Montana – A water emergency was declared in the City of Polson.
Water will be shut off up to 12 hours for some residents, according to city manager Ed Meece.
Unnecessary use of water like washing vehicles, or washing residential or commercial lawns is prohibited.
The water emergency was declared as a result of the inability to fill water reserves to an adequate level for fire protection and operational purposes, and extraordinary demand of water.
Skyview Lane, Skyline Drive, Mission View, JB Drive, and Claffey Drive residents will be left without water for up to 12 hours.
“All City of Polson water customers are strongly encouraged to conserve water as much as possible,” said Meece.
